Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dave was educated at Culver Military Academy in Indiana and Northwestern University in Chicago. Upon graduating from college, he worked for his family’s business in the foundry equipment industry, went to law school, and worked as a police officer with the Bay Village Police Department in Ohio. Always interested in law enforcement, Dave received an appointment as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1968. During his twenty year career with the FBI, Dave served in Memphis, Tennessee, Plattsburgh, New York, and San Francisco, California where he worked general criminal, foreign counter-intelligence, and organized crime matters. Following his retirement from the FBI in 1988, he established his law practice in San Francisco and Napa where he specializes in estate planning, probate, trust law, and tax law.
